I implemented Sametime 6.5.1 on a Websphere Portal Server 5.1 (AIX). The connection between sametime and portal works, including sso.
When someone logs on to my portal the Sametime applet is started (since it is activated in the portal theme). Portlets like the buddylist portlet (which seems to be decisive with JVMs and browsers) or the whoishere portlet (or own portlets using people-tags) then communicate with the applet, right?
Unfortunately browsers don't seem to like the applet too much, especially not if you're clicking around too fast. Both firefox and IE started to crash quite frequently since we are using sametime. Might there be a configuration error(the java console tells me about interruptedExceptions all the time, but everything seems to work)? Has anyone used sametime with portal productively?
thx
Stephan
